The theme of the noble cause is ‘A Thousand Strides towards Peace' under the title ‘A Peaceful Nation for Better Tomorrow.'

The event will be flagged off in Eldoret by the Regional Commissioner Rift Valley Province, and will involve walks from Kapsabet to Kaimosi, Kaimosi to Chavakali, Chavakali to Kakamega on three consecutive days from 22nd February to 25th February 2012.

There will, then, be a closing ceremony at Kakamega Town. Visitors expected include the Provincial Commissioner, Mr. Samuel Kilele, Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.C.C Wangila and other provincial and regional leaders.
